Al Jazeera and YouTube put Iraq poll online
09 March, 2010
Al Jazeera's English service has set up a project in partnership with YouTube’s CitizenTube to put the story of Iraq's latest elections online.
The Jaz has been out and about interviewing ordinary Iraqis in the run-up to and following the latest attempt to stage a poll in the country on Sunday.
Over fifty people were killed as a backdrop to the elections, as objectors tried to destabilise the process.
The Citizentube videos give an rarely-heard voice to ordinary Iraqis involved in the struggle to repair a fracturede country.
The videos are featured on CitizenTube’s YouTube channel on Al Jazeera's English language service in the Iraqi voices section.
